Reading From Exodus 33-35

“If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.  How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us?  What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?”

—Exodus 33:15-16

When I was born again, God immediately put His Holy Spirit inside of me.  From that day forward, He has been with me and within me wherever I go.  He is in the process of changing me from the inside out and it is His Presence in my life that makes me different.  It is His Presence that changes me.  I am changed in the Presence of a holy God.  I will never be the same, I’ve closed the door on my old self, my old way of life.  I cannot go back to Egypt.  There’s nothing for me there.  I press on toward Canaan, the Land of Promise, the land flowing with sweetened condensed milk.

“Lord God, make me more aware of Your Presence in my life every day.  Let me experience the glory of Your goodness as I grow in my relationship with You.  Amen.”

And the Lord said to Moses, ‘I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.’ Then Moses said, ‘Now show me your glory.’

—Exodus 33:17-18
