Reading From Ephesians 3
For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.—Ephesians 3:14-19
In Christ Jesus we have “love that surpasses knowledge” and “peace that surpasses all understanding” that we “may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” To be able to experience this, we must first have Christ dwell in our hearts by faith. We experience this by choosing to respond to the Holy Spirit’s prompting with belief, repentance, confession and acceptance of Jesus as God.
Next, we grow spiritually to become more like Him by being firmly rooted in knowing and putting into practice the Bible which is the Word of God. Every born again believer has the Spirit of God dwelling within them, but we are told to seek more from the Lord. We are to seek and ask of Him that He would fill us with an endowment of power from on high. This is an overflow of the Spirit which empowers us and blesses us with passion and special spiritual insight to do God’s will and His work upon the Earth.
The crescendo of this process of salvation is the full restoration of the follower of Jesus to the perfect, uninhibited relationship with the Father that Adam and Eve enjoyed before the fall. At the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, we will be in total harmony with Him and with one another, filled with all the fullness of God Himself in every way. We will know even as we are fully known and be partakers of His divine nature to the fullest extent of our perfected capacity.
“Lord, I know that You are preparing Your children for something greater than our present reality. Move us forward in faith. Make us more like You; transform us from glory to glory until that Day when we will share in Your glory and reign with You forever. Help us to surrender every area of our lives to Your authority and control for You know what is best for us and You have our best interests in mind. Thank You for loving us so very deeply. May we return Your love. In the Name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.”
Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.—II Peter 1:4
