Reading From I Corinthians 15:29-58

“Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”—I Corinthians 15:33

Jesus Himself spent time with tax collectors, prostitutes, religious types, wealthy people, poor people, young, old, and everyone in between. But the example that He set for us was to love people as they are but do not engage in sinful acts with them or condone behaviors that do not honor God. It’s one thing to meet people where they’re at, but it is another matter entirely to join in with their wickedness.

“Lord, give us wisdom to know how to be in the world but not of it. May we genuinely love people and show our love with practical acts of compassion and holy living. Amen.”

How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to Your Word.”—Psalm 119:9

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.James 1:27
