Daily Encouragement for the Family of God by Kenton Cheek

“As was his custom, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and proving that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from the dead. “This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Messiah,” he said. Some of the Jews were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did a large number of God-fearing Greeks and quite a few prominent women.”—Acts 17:2-4
The strongest evidence to support the veracity of the Holy Bible are the hundreds of Messianic prophecies fulfilled in the person of Jesus Christ. The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls confirms that our scholarly, modern translations are faithful to the ancient records. The Bible is the most accurately preserved ancient literature in the history of the world and the Son of God who became Son of Man proves it to be true.
Not only has He proven His Word through His life on earth, but He has proven Himself faithful and trustworthy in my own life and in the lives of millions of believers throughout history. The testimony of the life of Jesus and His fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets was part of how Paul shared the Good News. I’m so very grateful to have the solid foundation of Christ and His Word the Bible to build my life upon.
“Lord Jesus, thank You for the truth of Your Word and that You are faithful to keep every single one of Your promises. I love You, Lord. Amen.”
8 I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
nor will you let your faithful[a] one see decay.
11 You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
—Psalm 16:8-11
