Reading From Acts 13:26-52
For this is what the Lord has commanded us:
“‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles,
that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”
When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.”—Acts 13:47-48
Jesus Christ suffered, died and was resurrected to make redemption available to the entirety of humanity. While salvation by grace through faith is accessible to anyone, tragically not everyone will believe and receive Him. God wants everyone to experience the riches of His grace, but because He has given the freedom to choose and desires healthy, loving relationship with human beings, He will not force anyone to follow Him.
The Spirit is being poured out on all flesh and therefore I believe that God is pleading with everyone, it is a matter of who is listening. Those who listen, believe and receive Him are born again and they are the elect, predestined according to the foreknowledge of God to be saved.
“Lord God, thank You for Your great salvation offered freely to the entire world. May we genuinely choose to serve You all the days of our lives and dwell in Your house forever, Amen.”
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.—John 3:16
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.—Acts 2:17
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.—II Peter 3:9
