Reading From John 18:1-18

“Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, “Who is it you want?”

“Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied.

“I am he,” Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.) When Jesus said, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground.”—John 18:4-6

Jesus revealed to those who had come to arrest Him that He is God. He identifies Himself as “I AM” and the power of His Presence overwhelmed the soldiers and those who had come with Judas and they fell over. The spiritual powerfully affected the physical.

It has been said that everyone must make a decision with what to do with Jesus. He claimed to be God. He was either lying, mentally unstable, or He was telling the truth.

After all that I gave seen Him do in my life, the lives of my family and friends and the countless testimonies of believers, I believe that Jesus is God and there have been many times when I too have been overwhelmed with the power of His Presence.

“Lord Jesus, I believe You are God. You are so, so good to me and my family. Thank You for revealing Yourself to us. There is no one else like You. No one else can change lives as You can. I give You all the praise and all the glory for You alone are worthy. Amen.”

Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”

14 God said to Moses, “I am who I am.[c] This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”

15 God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord,[d] the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’

This is my name forever,
the name you shall call me
    from generation to generation.

Exodus 3:13-15
