Reading From John 10:1-23

 “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”—John 10:9-10

Life with Jesus is an adventure and the born again experience is the beginning of it! Once we enter into the eternal family of God through the gate of faith in Jesus, we then go out and find pasture. We carry Him in our hearts and set out on the journey of a lifetime.

It is vital to our survival to remember that the enemy of our souls never has our best interests in mind. Do not be deceived. Yes, he does masquerade as an attractive angel of light, but Satan only seeks to steal, kill and destroy. Sin will always take you further than you wanted to go, keep you there longer than you want to stay and make you pay far more than you ever wanted to pay.

Jesus on the other hand, wants to bless and bring new life and build you up. The life He brings to us is both abundant and eternal. He desires to bless us abundantly in every way that we would share those blessings with others and in doing so glorify our Father in Heaven.

“Heavenly Father, thank You for the life, death, resurrection and mediation of Your Son Jesus. Protect Your children from the attacks of the enemy. Increase our faith, knowledge and wisdom. Make us wise to the devil’s schemes. Keep us from temptation and deliver us from evil. To You alone belongs all the praise, honor and glory. Amen.”
