Reading From John 9:24-41

The man answered, “Now that is remarkable! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes. ³¹ We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will. ³² Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind. ³³ If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.—John 9:30-33

I would disagree with the man who’s sight was headed by Jesus. There is a prayer from sinners that God will listen to and that is a genuine prayer of repentance. The prayers of godly people who do His will are answered because godly people pray in accordance to His will. When what we desire is in perfect alignment with what God desires, we know we will have what we ask for.

“God, bring my life into total alignment with your perfect will. Conform me to Your image. Remove everything from my life that does not honor You. Replace those things with pure desires that seek only Your glory. Amen.”
