Reading From John 6:22-44

“The next day the crowd that had stayed on the opposite shore of the lake realized that only one boat had been there, and that Jesus had not entered it with his disciples, but that they had gone away alone. 23 Then some boats from Tiberias landed near the place where the people had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks. 24 Once the crowd realized that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum in search of Jesus.”—John 6:22-24

We need to seek the Lord while He may be found. There’s coming a day when it will be too late. Fortunately today is the day of salvation and time has not yet run out. But we are not guaranteed tomorrow. The crowds went looking for the Savior when they realized He and His disciples were gone. May we hunger and thirst for righteousness and truth enough to search for it.

“Heavenly Father, I pray that people would earnestly seek You and Your will for their lives. Give us a passion for Your truth and sharing it with others. In Jesus’ Name I pray, amen.”

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment —Hebrews 9:27

Seek the Lord while he may be found;
    call on him while he is near.
Let the wicked forsake their ways
    and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them,
    and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

Isaiah 55:6-7

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.Hebrews 11:6
