Reading From Leviticus 24-25
“Do not take advantage of each other, but fear your God. I am the Lord your God.”
–Leviticus 25:17
The world would be a better, kinder place if this verse of Scripture were followed. This sentiment is echoed in the Golden Rule of Jesus found in Matthew 7:12, “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” If we would all treat others with the love that Jesus gives to us, the kingdom of the Prince of Peace would be extended to the whole earth. True peace and justice comes only through surrender to the will of God the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ in living out the principles of His Word the Bible.
“God, thank You for the reminder that the best solutions are simple, yet powerful. Your Word is easier to read than it is to live out. So please bless us with Your power, strength and wisdom. We love You, Jesus. Amen.”
Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing. For ‘Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.’
–I Peter 3:8-12
